The very small batch of 07 Pinot was bottled in March and is drinking well already. This has taken us by surprise as there is normally a period of bottle shock that we usually allow the wine to rest before we dream of releasing it, but it was very short lived period.

We showcased this wine at the recent Upper Goulburn Longest lunch and it was very well received.

The 08 Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon have been cold stabilized and all will be bottled by the end of June. The release dates for these wines has not been set as we prefer to see how they travel and release them when they are ready.

Once again our crop was ruined by the effect of the smoke from the Black Saturday fire. We experienced this in 2007 when the smoke was with us while fires stretched from north of Tolmie down towards Gippsland. This does cause some problems as it creates havoc with our supply. Compared to many others our loses are minor!
